Car Mod Guy: Returns & Exchange Policy
At Car Mod Guy, we understand that purchasing wheels and tires online can sometimes lead to unexpected situations. That’s why we’ve created a clear and straightforward returns and exchange policy to ensure your experience is as smooth as possible.
Our refund and returns policy lasts 14 days. If 14 days have passed since you received your product, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
Test Fitting Wheels Before Mounting
To ensure your wheels fit perfectly on your vehicle, we highly recommend test fitting them before having them mounted and balanced. Once wheels and tires are mounted and balanced, they are considered used, and we will not be able to accept them for return or exchange.
- Non-Returnable After Mounting/Balance: Once wheels and tires are mounted and balanced, they are no longer eligible for return or exchange, regardless of fitment issues.
- Test Fit Policy: Test fit your wheels before mounting tires to ensure proper fitment. Wheels must not show any signs of installation (e.g., scratched lug seats or damaged surfaces) to remain eligible for return or exchange.
Refunds
- Eligibility: Returns are accepted within 14 days of the delivery date, provided the product is unused, unmounted, and in its original packaging.
- Non-Returnable Items: Custom-made wheels, including custom-drilled or machined wheels, are non-returnable.
- Condition: All items must be in new, re-sellable condition. Wheels and tires that show signs of wear, installation, or use are not eligible for return.
- Restocking Fee: A 20% restocking fee applies to all returned items.
- Return Shipping: The customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to a defect or incorrect item received.
- Refund Process: Once your return is received and inspected, we will process your refund to the original payment method within 7-10 business days minus the original outgoing shipping cost.
Exchanges
- Eligibility: Exchanges are available for products of equal or greater value. Any difference in price must be paid by the customer.
- Shipping for Exchanges: You are responsible for the return shipping costs of the original product and the outgoing shipping cost for the items.
- Custom Products: Custom products, including personalized wheel sizes or finishes, cannot be exchanged unless there is a defect or incorrect item received.
Defective or Incorrect Items
If you receive a defective or incorrect product, please contact us within 7 days of receiving the item. We will cover the shipping costs for returning the item and sending out a replacement as quickly as possible.
How to Start a Return or Exchange
Contact us at returns@carmodguy.com with your order number, the reason for the return/exchange, and pictures of the product if necessary. We’ll guide you through the next steps, including where to send the product and how to complete the process.
